Did you know that on November 26, 1789 President Washington ordered a special day of “thanks” or that President Lincoln proclaimed in 1863 the last Thursday of November a day of Thanksgiving and praise to our fathers?
But it was FDR who is personally responsible for BLACK FRIDAY. He was the US President who set the date of Thanksgiving the 4th Thursday in November in order to kick off the holiday season earlier to stimulate the economy during the Great Depression!
