Today I travel down Inn Street and through Market Square to the beautiful new offices of Remax on the River to chat with expert realtor Ron April. Ron has built his business the old fashioned way, with hard work and honesty toward his clients. His business ties him closely to his valued clients, with his goal to bring a level of service not seen throughout the industry.
Ron’s basic approach to buyers, especially first timers, is to go over all the obvious monetary advantages about home ownership, building equity (yes, that still happens), tax ramifications, or not being uprooted by your landlord, for example. Then he delves into the reality of long term home ownership by including potential maintenance, renovations, and utility issues, among other potential traps of home ownership. “Oftentimes, the idea of what the buyer thought they wanted swings a hundred and eighty degrees the other way,” says Ron.
